Upcoming Events
Hopefully all of you have had a nice holiday break so far, and maybe even got a chance to go fish once or twice. Unfortunately, all of us here have been stuck in the shop trying to fill orders and stock up for all of the upcoming shows so there won't be any fishing trips for the next few weeks. Since I won't get a chance to do any testing for a while I gave some more prototypes of our newest lure (the name shall be revealed soon...) over to the guys (and gals) from Team Paddlecast and Team Reelin' Chix to test out. If you haven't already watched it yet check out the film we got from the Paddlecast boys (Click here). Matt and his wife Beckie also went again just a few days ago and had a very productive day. Take a look at the 39" Redfish he pulled in on the new lure over on Five-O's blog.
A quick reminder on some upcoming events:
- January 5-14 Houston Boat Show @ Reliant Arena
(We will be sharing a booth with Laguna Rods) - February 28- March 4 Houston Fishing Show @ George R. Brown Convention Center
So be sure and come see us at one or both of these upcoming shows.

New lure testing
We've been out testing the new lure again and I can't say enough about how excited I am. So far on two trips it has produced very well and now it's time to get it ready for production. On the first trip with Team Paddlecast, Five-0 and Foulhooked both had fish on their first casts, and I hadn't even anchored up yet! This last trip yesterday was also productive despite poor conditions and almost all of our fish were on the new lure. The top producing colors on both trips were Amber with a Chartreuse tail, Pearl and Chartreuse, and a solid Chartreuse color.
We did manage to get some film yesterday. At BrownLures.com you can see clips from Five-0 and Jake's trout caught on the new lure, plus a trout Foulhooked pulled in off a small shrimp tail and my redfish on our small mullet tail.

28 Inch Trout

I was using a 1/16 oz. screwlock jighead. The Devil eye is not a suspender, but the light jighead helps to slow the sink rate considerably.

www.BrownLures.com/media/blogs.html has a clever new way to create a blogging community. It's the first step for the fishing community to make its mark in the blogosphere.
